North Carolina Cannabis Dispensaries
As of August 11, 2025, North Carolina has not legalized recreational or comprehensive medical cannabis. State law only allows for low-THC extracts for intractable epilepsy. Therefore, there are no state-licensed dispensaries open to the general public.
However, the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, a sovereign nation, has legalized medical cannabis on their tribal lands. The only legal dispensary currently operating within the borders of North Carolina is located on the Qualla Boundary and serves registered patients.
