Pennsylvania Department of Human Services – Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) OMHSAS is the state authority responsible for overseeing the public mental health and substance abuse service system, providing leadership, funding, and managing a network of care.

NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Pennsylvania is a grassroots organization providing advocacy, education, and support to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness.

Mental Health Association in Pennsylvania (MHAPA) A statewide non-profit organization that works to promote mental health and prevent mental illness through advocacy, education, and public policy change.

Prevent Suicide PA A statewide non-profit organization dedicated to reducing suicide in Pennsylvania through education, awareness, and advocacy for policies that support mental health and suicide prevention.

Pennsylvania Mental Health Consumers’ Association (PMHCA) A statewide advocacy organization run by and for people with mental health conditions. It promotes recovery and community integration for its members.

Veterans Crisis Line A free, confidential resource available to any Veteran, even if not registered with the VA or enrolled in VA health care. The service connects Veterans in crisis with qualified, caring VA responders 24/7.


Pennsylvania Addiction

 

Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) DDAP is the state’s lead agency for addressing the addiction crisis. It provides leadership and funding for prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery support services for substance use and gambling disorders.

PA Get Help Now A confidential 24/7 hotline and online resource managed by DDAP that connects Pennsylvanians with substance use disorder treatment options and other resources.

Pennsylvania Recovery Organizations Alliance (PRO-A) A statewide organization that mobilizes the recovery community to advocate for policies and services that support long-term recovery from addiction.

The Council on Compulsive Gambling of Pennsylvania A private, non-profit organization that operates a confidential helpline and provides resources, support, and information for anyone affected by problem gambling.

Pennsylvania Harm Reduction Network (PAHRN) A statewide network that advocates for and implements harm reduction strategies, such as naloxone access and syringe service programs, to save lives and improve the health of people who use drugs.

FindTreatment.gov A confidential and anonymous resource from SAMHSA for persons seeking treatment for mental and substance use disorders in the United States and its territories.
